Claudio Piselli Oumy N’Diaye Love The Sunshine

In this new entry in our ‘Diamonds In The Rough’ category, we want to introduce you to upcoming artists Claudio Piselli and Oumy N’Diaye and their brand new joint album titled Love The Sunshine.

Claudio Piselli was born in Rome, Italy in 1975. “I grew up in the suburbs and to protect myself from bad company, I often went to play Vibes!”. Claudio Piselli began studying at the Conservatory of Rome, where he honed his skills as a vibraphonist. He was drawn to the music of jazz legends like Lionel Hampton, Milt Jackson, and Bobby Hutcherson, and he spent countless hours listening to their recordings and practicing their techniques.
After graduating from the conservatory, Piselli began playing gigs at local jazz clubs and festivals. He quickly gained a reputation as a rising talent in the Italian jazz scene, and he was soon invited to perform at international festivals and events.

In 2016, Piselli released his debut album, Now, which was met with critical acclaim. The album showcased his virtuosic playing and his innovative approach to jazz improvisation, and it established him as a major force in the world of jazz vibraphone. Since then, Piselli has continued to tour and record extensively, collaborating with many of the world’s top jazz musicians: Mark Sherman, Baba Sissoko.

Through his music, Piselli seeks to honor the legacy of the jazz greats who came before him while also pushing the boundaries of the genre and exploring new sonic possibilities. He remains one of the most exciting and dynamic jazz and Soul vibraphonists of his generation. The energy is like sunlight and presses.

From February 10, 2023 his new album titled Love The Sunshine is released and it is available on all digital platforms.
