DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH: Denae Joi – “Make it Right”

In this new entry in our ‘Diamonds In The Rough’ category, we want to introduce you to upcoming artist Denae Joi and her brand new single titled “Make it Right”.

Denae Joi Fluellen a.k.a. Denaejoi (November 13th, 1991) was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. Since the age of five, Denae has been in the spotlight singing at church,  print modeling and acting. She grew up with a love for music due to her father Dennis Fluellen being a part of a local Gospel group in Orlando, while her mother Bernadette Fluellen sang in the choir.

Her first debut was in a crowd of hundreds of people  as she sang Toni Braxton’s “Unbreak My Heart”, the crowd watched and cheered in awe! From that moment on she knew that music was where she wanted to be. As an Empath music is an art form for Denae Joi; it’s the way she connects with people. By telling her story, she is telling theirs. Her edgy personality, punch-line lyrics, 808 base and soulful voice makes falling in love with her inevitable.

Music saved her life and she wants to be able to save others through her music, because our footprints are never forgotten in the lives of the people we’ve touched.
