Six months after the successful release of her single, Backseat., DYLI emerges with an ear-popping record! Cotton Candy is a collaboration project featuring fellow recording artist + musician, CALYN…who also happens to be her sister. The song contains creative lyrics amidst an up-beat R&B track, with a chorus that is sure to get stuck in your head. DYLI playfully writes about finding herself and raising her personal standards. With metaphoric lines like, “you can put that money on my neck and make it cleaner” and “Unless you puttin money on I look better on my own,” she is ultimately expressing the fact that, if you’re not chasing success for bigger and better things, she’ll do just fine without you.
