Erupting onto the HipHop scene is the emphatic vartman who is making his mark with his remarkable debut single entitled “Samay,” – a track which lyrically explores the theme of a person who feels ’emotions and feelings beyond this world.’ With a strikingly short writing and recording process which took place at vartman’s home studio, ‘samay,’ is the freshest track in the Hindi Rap scene. The track was a completely original piece of work from this Delhi based rapper who wrote every hard-hitting lyric and recorded the track from his home studio where he has worked with a handful of talented co artists before. Drawing on predominant inspiration from old Bollywood songs alongside the ever prevalent sound of melodic HipHop, vartman masterfully brought that old school Bollywood sound into the contemporary music scene with his own nuance – “Samay,” is truly an essential listen.
