Joey Bada$$ keeps beefing with Ray Vaughn drops off “My Town”. Just a couple of hours later, Ray Vaughn already responds with “Golden Eye”.
Joey delivers sharp lyrics that challenge whether the real rivalry is between him and AzChike or between AzChike and Ray Vaughn, clearly drawing a line between himself and the newer generation of rappers. He even throws a jab at Daylyt, with AzChike becoming the punchline in the lines:
“You talkin’ like I can’t see light, yeah, okay. The question is me, me v you or you v Ray?”
Just a few hours after Joey dropped ‘My Town”,’ Ray Vaughn fired back with a track titled “Golden Eye.” The name might be a reference to the James Bond film, and Ray definitely brought that smooth-yet-deadly Bond energy as he responded to much of what Joey had said—especially the jab at TDEast.
